Our story · Kitness

Kitness owner smiling with a Sphynx cat — A familiar face behind Kitness.

Welcome to my world

Cats with character.
Care with a personal touch.

My first Sphynx encounter? I thought I’d met an alien. Then I met the personality—and everything changed.

At Kitness, I want you to find the right family member and feel confident caring for them.

A little more of our story

That first meeting was rather comical. I did not want to touch THAT! But once I did, I was amazed by the personality. As someone with allergies, my own experience made that first meeting especially memorable.

What began as a chance encounter became a life change. Former network engineer turned cat breeder. Less pay, more hours, no vacations. I must love what I do. Kitness has been breeding variations of the Sphynx breed since 2013. After exploring Elf, Dwelf, and Sticky Bald, I settled on a commitment to purebred Sphynx, with a focus on health, looks, and temperament.

Thank you to Betty Haddix (25 years of Titles, Breeding & Shows), now happily retired, for the opportunity and experience you shared.

What matters here

A good match begins with understanding.

Questions welcome

Space to learn about the breed, everyday care, and what to expect before making your decision.

Clear expectations

A straightforward path through the process, pricing, and agreement before bringing a kitten home.

A lasting connection

Support that continues beyond homecoming, and a place to share the little milestones along the way.

Care in Practice

Care that goes the extra mile.

Kitness kittens are spayed or neutered before going home. We travel an hour each way to a clinic we trust for their surgical care and take additional precautions to help reduce infectious-disease exposure.

A portion of every sale also helps support spay/neuter services for barn and rescue cats.
